Hi All,
I am working on some issues that have recently came up regarding the
classification of staff within core facilities at our institution.
Specifically, our HR group has begun to realign facility directors/managers as
admin track managers instead of research associates. So, I had a couple of
questions:
1.) Are scientific core managers currently classed as admin/managerial
staff at your universities? 75% of core directors/managers (approximately 40)
are research faculty (not staff); the other 25% are staff
2.) If not, are there plans to transition to that? There are no plans
to transition core directors/managers who are staff to research faculty.
