Hi.
I use Publons for keeping track of our publications. The nice thing is you can
import publications using their DOI. I like Publons for their graphic that
shows publications and citations over time. I'm not sure how well it works
outside of the biological sciences. Currently, I manually add the publications
through the DOI.
Here's the link to mine, in case you are interested:

I'm not thinking about an automated way to find publications that use our
core, as nice as that would be. I think that core managers will always need to
review the methods & acknowledgements to finds those that used the core and
neglected to say anything.
I'm thinking more about a way to host the bibliography once we've
discovered the publications that have used a core or cores. Many of our
University's Drupal websites tried to use a module that was intended to create
a faculty member's bibliography on the faculty's biographical home page and
over time it became clear that the module didn't work well. Most of the bio
pages now just use the NCBI "MyBibliography" link instead. That got me
wondering if cores could do something similar as a way to curate their
bibliographies. As this is a little bit different of a use case than I suspect
the NCBI intended, I wanted to see if anyone else had tried this and gotten it
to work. Preferably with multiple cores.
The one caveat I see is that cores that don't do biomedical research might
not find something that pulls from PubMed all that useful.
Thanks for responding!
