Hi Brian , we have had a lot of success with thermos fluorescent peptide assay
. We still do traditional AAA so we checked it and it is pretty dead on . You
need an expensive plate reader but it’s worth it. In fact we use this on all of
our samples now and it’s improved everything. We know exactly how much we are
loading on our columns now and how much we lose during digestion, peptide
fractionation etc..l really recommend it
Cheers

to replace NanoDrop measurements at A280 for protein and A205 (Scopes) for
peptides. The QuBit fluorometric system seems to be more sensitive ~250ng.
I’m working with small pieces of tissues so I need sensitivity. The ability to
also measure peptide concentration would be a real benefit too. I would
appreciate any feed back from labs that use the QuBit and others who use other
techniques to quantitate protein and peptides where sensitivity is an issue.
