Are you writing to a network drive during acquisition? if so, do the
data transfers after acquisition (you can trigger this with a post run
script)
if there is REALLY external network activity causing the issue,
perhaps try inserting a cheap home network router between your mass
spec and the wall plug.
I am really liking the other suggestions in this thread...
* usb cables
* acquisition PC is going bad (perhaps try a memory check)
* windows updates...
