All you have to do is the following:
Save your text in Microsoft Word or better in WordPad in ASCI format. If you
have Microsoft Word you can select "Other Formats" and safe it as a test file
in the same format.
Once you have your final document change the file name "file.doc" to
"file.FASTA"
Applications like Bioedit or similar protomics applications can now open the
file.
To find out how a fasta file should look you can go to the NIH resources for
protein and review them for different proteins. Good luck.

Example of format:
>Description of whatever is in this file
>CDZ92723.1 tubulin, partial [Foraminifera sp. LAPG-2014]
QCGNQIGNAFWNTMCVEHQLEAASGK
>Peptide 1
QCGNQIGNAF
>peptide 2

Subject: [ABRF Discussion Forum] File Converter!
Hello:
I have list of tryptic peptides in a file in text format. I need them to be
converted to .fasta format.
Are there any file converters out there? If so, could you please suggest?
Many thanks in advance for your time and help Maha
