My lab is very interested in this issue as well. I won't personally be at the
meeting, but several members of my group would be and we'd be very interested
in discussing. If you end up organizing a meet up, please let me know so I can
pass the information along.

Subject: Re: [ABRF Discussion Forum] Replacement kit for the Ribo-Zero Gold
rRNA Removal Kit bacteria
Possible we could have a mini-talk about this important issue in San Antonio?
We have been baking-off various kits and Mike Heinz or I could give it. Or some
other lab?

Hello,
since last November Illumina has no longer supplied the ribozero kits.
We have since been pretty pissed off because the ribozero kits were really
effective for bacteria and plants.
Would some of you have an alternative that is effective for bacteria?
We tested the exonuclease terminator treatment, it works but it still
remains 50% of rRNA after treatment (against less than 1% with the kit ribozéro
bacteria of illumina).
Thank you in advance for your help.
