Hi Kym,
We have just had a power supply burn out inside our Time-to-Digital converter
in our QSTAR XL (yes – you read that right…). Our workshop guy has ordered the
correct model to replace it from a local supplier, but while we wait for that
to arrive (September apparently) he was able to bypass the dead power supply
with a simple external one (of the correct voltage) that he normally uses for
PCs. I think these are pretty cheap. Hopefully you too have a useful workshop
guy…
Good luck,
Martin

Hi Kym,
Could you share the instrument model and part number? If it happens to coincide
with something we have, we're happy to share.
Best,
Allis

One of the power supplies on our instrument has burnt out. It appears to be a
sealed unit. Does anyone know if they are repairable? Any and all advice too
help find a cheap replacement will be appreciated (ie does anyone have a
mothballed instrument that can be used as a source of parts).
